CREAMY GARLIC MASHED POTATO

Ingredients

  • 2 lb Yukon Gold Potatoes 

  • ½ cup Whole Milk 

  • ½ cup Heavy Cream 

  • 8 Cloves of Crushed Garlic 

  • ½ cup Unsalted Cold and Cubed Butter 

  • 2 tsp Salt 

  • 2 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. Gather all your potatoes in a large bowl and rinse them under cold water. Begin peeling the potatoes one by one and place them in a large bowl of cold water after peeling to avoid any discoloration. 

  2. Cut the potatoes into 1-inch cubes. Add the cubed potatoes to a large pot and cover with cold water. 

  3. Bring the potatoes to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-12 minutes. 

  4. In a small saucepan, bring the milk, heavy cream, and crushed garlic to a simmer over low heat. While the cream mixture is simmering, drain the potatoes in a colander and transfer back to the pot. 

  5. Using a potato masher, mash the potatoes. Add in the cold, cubed butter, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine well, making sure the butter melts in. 

  6. Gradually begin adding in the cream mixture to the potatoes, little by little, until it gets fully incorporated. 

  7. Serve and Enjoy!
